Crater Rim. 12,841 ft
Ruminahui Volcano. 15,203 Feet

This is a great acclimatization trek to help build our breathing at altitude, there will be other fun activities we do to get the blood pumping also.
On the summit of Ruminahui Volcano w/ Cotopaxi in background
Our Third big Mountain ascent will be Cotopaxi.

At 5897 meters (19,347 ft) above sea level, and rising majestically above the Andean mountains, the Cotopaxi mountain is Ecuador's highest active volcano - as well as being one of the most active volcanoes anywhere in Ecuador. With an almost perfectly symmetrical cone shape its identifiable sign, Cotopaxi mountain is also a picture book image of Ecuador.
Whilst the Cotopaxi is on record as being one of the most active in Ecuador, aside from a brief rumble in 1975, the last recorded eruption occurred in 1904. Consequently, Cotopaxi mountain is probably more famous these days as being a mountain climbers dream.
Ecuador, South America.

12-Day Wilderness Trips:
These courses are designed for those individuals who are seeking exposure to a wide-variety of wilderness leadership skills, adventure hard & soft skills training, and how and when to apply them.
The wilderness of New England will serve as the host for our expeditions, also our learning and development areas. It is a great place to connect with nature, practice awareness and outdoor skills, be challenged, and discover your own unique leadership style. We will camp in high alpine areas, hike ridge lines, paddle clear lakes and scout rapids from the shore line, we'll see alpine flowers, cross creeks, traverse over mountain passes, and climb (weather permitting) to spectacular views from the summits of Mt, Marcy, or Mt Washington & other near by high peaks.
Through experience, fun lectures, and group discussion we will plan, trip preparation, safety, survival, guiding, basic mountaineering, and outdoor teaching. We will also learn how to read a topo map and learn how to use a compass, how to navigate safely through remote mountain terrain, how to facilitate a group, and understand group dynamics. We will also explore the metaphorical, spiritual, and therapeutic elements of the wilderness experience.
Lead with confidence.
